THSC & AHP Organized Culinary Skill Challenge for Youths under PM’s Skill India Mission
Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) along with Association of Hospitality Professional (AHP) organized a culinary Skill Challenge for aspiring chefs from all around the nation. The challenge was planned to prepare aspiring chefs in the art of competing. The idea is to popularize Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of skilling the youth of India, by increasing employability.
The hospitality students got a chance to show their culinary skills by preparing multiple cuisines from around the world. The jury for the competition included top notch names from the culinary fraternity, thus creating a talent hunt opportunity for the aspiring chefs who are undergoing training under job role ‘multiple cuisine cooks ‘by the government under Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana. The students got a chance to meet and network, thereby creating a platform for the enhancement and overall development of the national community of chefs.

Dr. Sonali Sinha, COO, said, “The objective of the challenge is to act as a link, a platform and an instrument for the enhancement and overall development of the national community of chefs. Chef Vivek Saggar, Head – Business Development, said with this challenge, we hope to contribute in the Government’s Skill India Mission by providing right platform to the trainees from ‘Multiple Cuisine Cooks’. The students of Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana got an opportunity to meet and network and learn about the industry from the Master Chefs. I am sure it was a valuable experience and will surely maximize their potential and growth in the sector”
